Dahil sa naging mainit na pagtanggap ng sambayanan, binigyan ito ng sunod-sunod na extension kaya’t aabot ito ng 39 na lingo sa ere. Nakamit nito ang pinaka-mataas nitong audience share noong August 30 matapos makapagtala ng 49.5 points sa Mega Manila (based on May 9, 2011 to January 17, 2012 Mega Manila households data) ayon sa AGB Nielsen. At magpahanggang ngayon ay patuloy pa rin ito sa pagpalo sa ratings.
Naging usap-usapan din ang Munting Heredera sa mga social networking sites kung saan paboritong paksa ng mga internet users ang mga bagong kaganapan sa kwento.
Mula sa orihinal na storya, mas ginawa pang kaaya-aya ang kwento ng mga manunulat sa pangunguna ni Agnes Gagelonia-Uligan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakilala ng mga bagong tauhan at kaganapan na isinalin naman para sa telebisyon ng award-winning director na si Maryo J. delos Reyes.
Habang patuloy ang paghahanap sa nawawalang tagapagmana, umikot din ang kwento sa buhay ng bawat tauhan na may kani-kaniya ring rebelasyon sa isa sa masasabing pinaka-matagumpay at di-malilimutang drama ng GMA.

Samantala, sa Potchi House, ibabahagi nina Sab at Liane sa iba pa nilang mga kaibigan ang kanilang experience sa pagbisita sa isang Picasso Art Exhibit. Ang exhibit na iyon ay ang kauna-unahang Picasso exhibit na ginanap sa Pilipinas. Si Picasso ay isang tanyag na pintor na binansagan bilang isa sa mga pinakasikat at pinaka-maimpluwensiyang pintor sa ika-20 siglo.
Ibabahagi naman nina Bianca at Sab ang kanilang natutunan mula sa isang “sand artist.” Ipapakita ng sand artist kung paano siya nakakagawa ng mga kamangha-manghang obra maestra mula sa buhangin.

GMA’s glossy-drama masterpiece, LEGACY, kicked-off its pilot episode last night, January 16.
Legacy’s pilot episode became a worldwide trending topic; it also put #LegacyGMA in the number one spot in Philippines’ most trending topics on the popular micro-blogging site Twitter.
Based on the Mega Manila overnight ratings gathered by the more widely and recognized TV rating supplier, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, LEGACY posted a household audience share of 34.1.
Natasha Alcantara played by Lovi Poe expresses her gratitude on the success of the pilot episode of Legacy, “I would like to thank everyone who watched Legacy last night and made it trend on Twitter. The audience should look forward to viewing more intense episodes.
As the story progresses, Dennis Trillo (young Cesar) admits that he loves Bianca King (young Isabel). Chynna Hortaleza (young Eva) tries to confront Isabel, a squabble takes place eventually putting the rallying employees to jail, including Isabel and Lucio, her avid suitor. Isabel hopes and prays that Cesar will help them get out of jail. As expected, the case against them was pulled out and they are released.
Full of gladness, Isabel hurriedly goes to the office of Cesar to thank him for the help. To her surprise, Cesar asks her to leave the company and puts an end to their romantic relationship. Her world falls apart and the shock causes an emotional breakdown. Lucio will bring her to the hospital to have her checked and the news of pregnancy is announced by the doctor.
With Isabel’s pregnancy, it will intensify Eva’s fear of Cesar leaving them once he learns of the news. Her mom, Sophia, will convince her to continue pretending that she’s pregnant. They will adopt a baby to make their plan realistic and the baby will be named Natasha (Lovi Poe).

The case is in relation to the alleged unauthorized airing of Iraqi captive Angelo Dela Cruz’s arrival footage taken at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport over GMA’s newscast in July 2004.
ABS-CBN claimed over its newscasts that GMA “stole” and aired its live feed, which was actually taken from the Reuters Television Service (Reuters), where GMA had a video subscription contract.
Among those implicated in the crime of libel are ABS-CBN executives and talents, namely, Erwin Tulfo, Beth Frondoso, Lynda Jumilla, Ma. Progena Estonilo Reyes, Annie Eugenio, Dondi Garcia, Eugenio Lopez III, Luis Alejandro, Jose Ramon Olives, Jesus Maderazo, Luisita Cruz-Valdez, Jose Magsaysay, Jr., and Alfonso Marquez.
In her four-page resolution promulgated on December 14, 2011, DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima said, “The malicious imputation was evident from the use of the words ‘magnanakaw ng aming eksklusibong kuha,’ ‘pamimirata ng footage,’ ‘pagnanakaw ay isang malaking krimen,’ and ‘pagnanakaw ng video’ uttered by [ABS-CBN respondents].” These were aimed at casting discredit or dishonor to GMA on live nationwide broadcast.
Further, De Lima said that GMA proved that all the elements of libel, namely, defamatory imputation, malice, publication, and identifiability of the person defamed were present in the utterances and statements made in the ABS-CBN news reports about GMA’s use of Dela Cruz’s arrival footage.
GMA earlier petitioned with the Supreme Court its P100-million civil damages case for libel lodged against ABS-CBN for the aforementioned defamatory statements.
On November 9, 2010, the Court of Appeals released a Decision that junked ABS-CBN’s motion to file copyright infringement charges against GMA on grounds that the airing of Dela Cruz’s homecoming [by GMA] was done in good faith and cannot be regarded as infringement of copyrights.
