The Valentine Box-Office King Richard Gutierrez is on the cover of Cosmopolitan Philippines together with one of his leading ladies, Solenn Heussaff.
It’s “couple” issue once again for Cosmopolitan magazine because it’s Valentine’s month. Just like last year, it’s a double cover issue with the covergirl on the front side and she and her partner together on the back side.
Last year it was Angelica Panganiban on the cover and of course, on the reversed side, she’s joined by her boyfriend Derek Ramsay.
This year, it’s Richard Gutierrez and Solenn Heussaff, as the featured couple on Cosmo. Although they are not officially a couple yet, rumor has it that the two are getting there.
Solenn is a good friend of Richard and she is one of his leading ladies in his upcoming romantic movie “My Valentine Girls.”

GMA Network's afternoon drama series, Alakdana, easily strikes its magic among viewers after it pulled in high pilot rating last January 24 based on people data from the more widely recognized ratings service Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
Alakdana has outranked its competition on its debut with a rating of 8.1 percent, almost double the 3.9 percent of its counterpart program on the rival channel. This impressive lead continued on the Tuesday and Wednesday after it posted 6.7 percent on January 25 and 6.8 percent on Janaury 26.
Under the direction of Mac Alejandre, Alakdana is headlined by promising Tween star Louise delos Reyes who quickly captivates audiences with her striking charisma and sheer talent. Direk Mac has only good words for Louise who is touted to become one of the network's prized leading ladies in the years to come.
The series is expected to set even higher ratings on the coming days especially when Adana (Louise) gets to confront her dark secret of having a scorpion tail on her back. She'll meet Billy (Paulo Avelino) who will capture her heart and become her confidant when people mock her for having an unusual feature.
Moreover, Adana's life turns upside down when she heads out to Manila together with her mother Teresa (Jean Garcia) and crosses path with the family of Zoila (Jobelle Salvador), the woman responsible for her cursed tail.
Could there still be hope for Adana, who yearns to grow up like a normal girl and lead a normal life? Will true love be enough to end the curse on Adana?
Expect more revelations and twists as the drama continues in Alakdana weekdays after Eat Bulaga on GMA-7's Dramarama sa Hapon block.

Real-life lovers Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann will be reunited in an upcoming Kapuso fantaserye.
Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann were on-screen partners in Rosalinda, The Last Prince and Basahang Ginto.
They got separated for a while on the last quarter of 2010 as Geoff was paired with Glaiza de Castro in Grazilda and Carla Abellana was paired with Dennis Trillo in The Last Romance.
This year, Carla and Geoff will be reunited in the upcoming primetime series “Magic Palayok.” This is their second title role in a primetime series as a loveteam after Rosalinda and their fourth overall after The Last Prince and Basahang Ginto.
Their last project together was the afternoon soap opera Mars Ravelo’s Basahang Ginto and it’s their most successful team-up because the said project was able to top the daytime race not only in Mega Manila but also in Kantar Media’s national TV ratings. This is perhaps the reason why GMA decided to bring them back again in the primetime block.
“Magic Palayok” is set to replace Bantatay on February 26, 2011.

Alakdana tells the story of Vergel (Matthew Mendoza), an entrepreneur who falls in love with his family's helper named Teresa (Jean Garcia).
The lovers pursue their clandestine romance until the arrival of Vergel's ex-girlfriend Zoila (Jobelle Salvador).
Determined to win Vergel back, Zoila solicits the help of an ermitanyo (Junee Gamboa), who reveals the magical powers of a golden scorpion.
Armed with the golden scorpion, Zoila instructs it to sting Vergel and erase his current memory. She also orders the deadly arachnid to put a curse on the pregnant Teresa.
Vergel cancels his wedding to Teresa to be reunited with his former flame. A grief-stricken Teresa discovers that she is pregnant with Vergel's son but vows to take good care of the child.
Teresa gives birth to her daughter Adana (Louise delos Reyes). However, the curse inflicted by Zoila manifests in Adana in the form of a scorpion tail.
Adana grows up to be a compassionate and God-fearing child. She is frequently mocked by her playmates who make fun of her preference for long skirts.
Fortunately for Adana, her good friend Joma (Alden Richards) is always ready to defend and comfort her from the jeers she often receives from others.
A rape attempt on Teresa one night unleashes Adana's scorpion tail in an attempt to kill the assailant. The attacker Mando witnesses first hand the odd feature of Adana and immediately spreads the word around town.
Teresa and Adana soon find themselves running for their lives. How will this crisis change the fortune of mother and daughter? Will Adana find out the identity of her real father and the woman responsible for the curse? Will Adana still find someone who is willing to love her for who she is? Who among Billy (Paulo Avelino), Gabriel (Ritchie Paul Gutierrez), and Joma will be able snatch Adana's pure heart?

"My Valentine Girls" stars the Valentines Box Office King Richard Gutierrez as a novelist searching for a girlfriend with Jillian Ward as his little sister who will have a cupid-like purpose in the movie.
The film has three romantic stories:
“Soulmates” tells of a relationship that started with a vehicular accident involving Richard and Rhian Ramos, a fashion stylist. Richard dies and appears to Rhian as a ghost to ask for help in going back to his family. Eventually, they get closer to each other but what else can happen to them if Richard is already a ghost?
Another story features Richard’s team-up with Survivor Philippines’ Solenn Heussaff in “BBFF”. Richard plays the role of a lawyer who decides to propose to his best friend Solenn. However, the latter prefers that they remain friends due to her beliefs and notions on friendships turning into romantic relationships. She then sets up Richard with Lovi Poe and the two hit it off. Will Solenn regret her match-making in the end?
The trilogy also includes “Gunaw”, an apocalyptic tale with ace comedienne Eugene Domingo. Uge convinces Richard that they have a mission to procreate because they are the only humans left after a worldwide disaster. Will Richard give in to Uge for the sake of humankind?

Fascinating, inspiring, astonishing--all of them with a lesson to impart. These are the stories that Tunay na Buhay, a 30-minute profile magazine program that features compelling stories of people, will share.
Hosted by Rhea Santos, Tunay na Buhay goes beyond biographies by searching far and wide for the most riveting life stories. These are stories of people who have gone through some of the most unforgettable, amazing experiences, life events that are sometimes beyond belief but are always engaging and thought-provoking.
"Tunay na Buhay is different because our subjects are the storytellers themselves," Rhea says. "They will share their lives and the lessons they have learned that will make us appreciate life more. These are life stories that will make us cry. Or will make us smile. Or maybe both. And this is really OUR show because each of us has a story to tell."
The program will feature three stories each episode, each with a different feel or tone. "For me, it's important that I connect with my interview subjects," Rhea says. "I have to share their laughter, feel their pain and, in a small way, be part of their dreams."
For its pilot episode, Tunay na Buhay tells the inspiring love story of Wawel and Mila who have been married for 15 years despite Mila's condition. After their wedding day, tragedy struck, and from then on, Mila has been wheelchair bound.

The next story talks about a mother's unconditional love for her children, twins who are conjoined at the head. These two kids share one body but they have very different personalities.
