Heart Evangelista has truly established herself as a capable and versatile actress. From portraying a clumsy wannabe writer in Full House to a strong-willed flight attendant in Langit Sa Piling Mo, the award-winning Kapuso actress has proven that she is able to effectively bring life any role, any story, whether it be drama, comedy, romance, or even fantasy.
But while growth has been a significant highlight in Heart's burgeoning career in the previous years, her role in GMA-7's upcoming original telefantasya literally lacks just that. In Dwarfina, Heart will assume the character of a girl born with one glaring abnormality: her height. Dwarfina is no taller than a finger as she was cursed by a black duwende after her parents accidentally destroyed a mound inhabited by the supernatural creatures.
Sharing billing with Heart is multi-awarded actor Dennis Trillo, who will play the role of Lyndon, Dwarfina's childhood best friend. Dennis plays a pivotal role in helping Dwarfina cope with her physical limitation, protecting and supporting her in every way.
Heart and Dennis welcome this opportunity to work once again with each other following their team-up in an episode for Dear Friend (Edison at Anna) as well as in the movie Mano Po last year. Despite being romantically involved with their respective partners, Heart and Dennis possess great chemistry on-camera and are both very excited to start working on the project, which is slated to premiere early next year.
Also in the cast of Dwarfina are Janice de Belen, Chanda Romero, Cris Villanueva, Mark Bautista, Iwa Moto, Derrick Monasterio, Yogo Singh, and Kylie Padilla--Dwarfina's family and friends from the mortal world. Meanwhile, Jackielou Blanco, Jestoni Alarcon, Angelica dela Cruz, Emilio Garcia, Pauleen Luna, Tony Mabesa, Will Devaughn, Gerard Pizarras, Bearwin Meily, Vaness del Moral, and Mico Aytona complete Dwarfina's supernatural world. The program will also feature the special participation of Ms. Lani Mercado.
With Director Mike Tuviera at the helm, the small but colorful world of Dwarfina opens this coming January 2011 on GMA Telebabad.

Last week, Born To Be Wild opened its third anniversary presentation by introducing this year's Born Project—an effort to showcase how seemingly useless items can be turned into something functional if properly recycled. Viewer volunteers, concerned groups and organizations work together to promote the sustainable use of plastics—at least 32,806 used soda and PET bottles have been raised as of the latest count and more bottles continue to pour in. Instead of ending up in landfills, these bottles will be donated to serve three main functions: manufacturing blankets and T-shirts for the needy, reconstructing a classroom, and building an eco-library through Laguna's and MyShelter Foundation's bottle school project.
"This Wednesday, December 15, the Christmas bug also catches up with the Born Project as Doc Ferds Recio, Kiko Rustia and the volunteers go around distributing blankets and T-shirts made out of recycled plastics. Homeless families and hospital patients get a little warmth from materials that would've otherwise been thrown as trash.
"And finally, after overcoming several hurdles, the renovated classroom and eco-library will at last be unraveled.
"Don't miss the finale of The Born Project this Wednesday, December 15, right after Saksi, on GMA-7.

COMEDIAN John Lapus will spread luck, fun and cheer in the new version of Maricel Soriano’s blockbuster movie, Super Inday, which headlines Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera.
In the movie, John plays the Golden Bibe that grants super powers to Pinoy cinema’s so-called sexiest super heroine.
It should come as no wonder why John is a permanent fixture in Regal movies, his last being in Eugene Domingo’s box-office starrer, Mamarazzi.
To say the least, he is a favorite of lady producer Lily Monteverde and daughter Roselle Monteverde-Teo.
“John is my lucky charm sa mga Regal movie na nagawa namin. Basta merong role na puwede sa kanya, we don’t hesitate to cast him dahil bukod sa pagiging professional, may suwerte siyang hatid sa mga project ng Regal,” Mother Lily reveals.
John may have been a second choice for the Golden Bibe role, but the comedian has no qualms about it.
“Naku, I don’t care kung pang-ilang choice ako sa movie. Alam kong importante ang role ko at sapat na sa akin ’yon. Bukod diyan, friends kami ni Marian na kasama ko sa Show Me Da Manny, so, bakit ko naman tatanggihan ang project na alam kong maganda at magaan ang mga kasama, ’di ba?” John explains.
This generous nature wouldn’t go unnoticed since this early, the grateful Regal matriarch has her eyes set on giving John his own solo starrer earmarked for release sometime next year.
Meantime, John, as the Golden Bibe, not only wields his super powers in Super Inday but spreads hilarious moments as well.
With comedienne Pokwang also in the cast, the fantasy filmfest entry definitely spells not just double but triple fun on Christmas Day!
In Super Inday, Marian, John and Pokwang are ably supported by Jake Cuenca, Mylene Dizon, Buboy Villar, Jairus Aquino, Sheena Halili and a lot more!
Michael Tuviera directs.

GMA-7 gears up with a primetime series of epic proportions to be aired in 2011 starring their no. 1 star Marian Rivera.
"Amaya", dubbed as an epicserye, is said to change the landscape of Philippine television in 2011. Also the first historical soap opera, Amaya topbills GMA's Primetime Queen Marian Rivera.
It's a story about Bai Amaya, Bai meaning "Princess" in Islam.
“The story dates back to the 1500s. We are coordinating with the historical department of the University of the Philippines to make sure that every detail on this show is accurate,” said Lilybeth Rasonable, GMA-7's Vice President for Drama.
Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera's reel and real-life partner and her leading man in MariMar, Dyesebel, Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang and Endless Love, will not be part of this project. As everyone knows, Dingdong is Regine Velasquez' love interest in the romantic comedy primetime series "I Heart You Pare", also slated to air early next year.
So who will be Marian's leading man this time? According to a rumor, one Kapamilya hunk actor auditioned for the role. If ever he bags it, he will surely consider transferring to the Kapuso network in no time to join the ambitious and big-budgeted teleserye.
The teaser of "Amaya" and other upcoming Kapuso shows will be first seen in GMA-7's annual cinema plug during the MMFF starting on Christmas day.
